Meeting Point: ‘Making time to get together’

The point of ‘The Meeting Point” is ‘To give ourselves a little time once a month to meet each other in a relaxed way, to meet with God, perhaps in a new way, to meet new people and new ideas which will enrich our own lives and the lives of other women.’ A monthly gathering is held, with a lecture series and social activities, generally but not exclusively attended by women. In 2017–2018, for example, celebrations will include a Burns tea and a summer outing; talks will include ‘All about Kilts’, ‘Cutty Sark’, ‘Tales of Nursing’, ‘Wild life in Duns Castle Reserve’; and a talk on charities such as Edinburgh Direct Aid.
