Do you knit, sew, quilt, felt, weave or crochet?

Stitches for Survival needs you!

A 1.5-mile banner will be unfurled at the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow this November with messages of support for Climate Action and Climate Justice. It will be made up of hand-crafted panels, each 100cm wide by 60 cm high.

The colours should be predominantly blues and greens. The design can be as simple or complex as you like.

We hope to have enough completed panels from Berwickshire to make our own section. The deadline for local collection is September 17th.

LOOKING FORWARD:

Reflections in the ordinary - September 4th 2021 - 9:45 am – 12:30/5:00pm

Our sister church, St Ebba’s, is hosting an online quiet morning/day, the aim being to reflect on God in the ordinary; in everyday life.

The day is structured so the reflective meditations are in the morning, with the aim of leading people into a time of reflecting on God in the ordinary in the afternoon. For those who then wish to do so, there is an opportunity to come together again later on in the afternoon, with the option to share how God has been speaking in the ordinary and to close the day with a short Celtic style service.

There will be no charge for this day, but to allow anyone who may subsequently feel they would like to contribute to the work of St Ebba’s church relevant information will be provided, along with zoom details.

If you are interested in joining us, please email Pauline Jones at pjeglwys@gmail.com.
